Muhammad Mustafa Amjad is an energy and climate change researcher from Pakistan, currently working as a Program Manager for Renewables First, an energy and environment think tank in Pakistan. A Mechanical Engineering MS graduate from University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a specialization in Renewable Energy and Policy, Mustafa, and his organization, have been actively involved in the transition towards a greener future for Pakistan.
Mr. Ubaid ur Rehman Zia works at Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and completed his Master’s degree in Energy Systems in 2020. With a track record of over five years in energy modeling and evidence-based policy making for Pakistan’s energy sector, he possesses expertise in various areas such as evidence-based research,he possesses expertise in various areas.
Omais Abdur Rehman is a distinguished mechanical engineer with a doctorate in ‘Engineering and Information Technology’ from Spain. He specialises in energy transition, renewable energy, policy analysis, energy modelling, and project management. Omais has a rich and diverse professional background, having worked in various environments, including a multinational oil and gas firm, an innovative startup, a research institute, and a corporate firm.
Amna Urooj is a public policy and sustainability professional working at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), where she contributes to research and policy work on climate governance, circular economy, sustainability, and energy transition. She holds an MPhil in Public Policy from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) and a BS in Government and Public Policy from National Defence University (NDU). Previously, she has also worked with the 'All Pakistan Textile Mills Association' (APTMA), where her work focused on textile trade policy, ESG practices, energy competitiveness, and sustainability in Pakistan’s industrial sector.
